KEESKEA
Delicate and affecting, Keeskea (case-kay-ah) is the project of musical wonder Vanessa Marousopoulos. Keeskea’s songs demand a grand stillness, as though each note were tangible but temporary, something to sit with and hold for just a moment before they’re gone. It’s a gentle but powerful skill that has seen her find a home amongst an array of other genres, including her most recent tour with World Sick and Hot Mess.
We filmed this session last winter. Nestled into Vanessa’s Adelaide cold backyard with a few friends and a few pups, together we recorded two songs from her debut EP, Find Yourself Alone.
